The EmLogis implementation process of the GENERATOR Workforce Modeling suite consists of four distinct phases that include all activities ranging from the initial qualification of the site to the ongoing scheduling operations.
PHASE 1 - Qualification
Facilities are qualified as to their complexity, and the time commitment necessary to achieve a successful implementation is defined. This phase also identifies any “supply and demand” imbalance between the facility’s need for skilled caregivers and their available staff.
Milestones:
-Qualify the Facility
-Create Facility Status Report
-Implementation Goals and Plans
PHASE 2 - Discovery
This step addresses a number of key elements in the scheduling process: who makes the decisions, what is the impact of policy choices (eg, overtime), and the overall labor costs resulting from the current scheduling process. In this step, we establish a baseline against which we can compare changes to the process.
Milestones:
-Define Facility's Scheduling Objectives
-Discover Facility's Scheduling Challenges & Goals
-Collect Facility's Workforce Data
-Configure Facility's Workforce Model
PHASE 3 - Rollout
The implementation of the Workforce Model and the training of the facility scheduling manager is accomplished during this phase.
Milestones:
-Conduct Training
-Generate Schedule #1
-Refine Model and Reinforce Training
PHASE 4 - Operations
The Operations phase represents the ongoing use of the system and the regular generation of schedules by the scheduling manager.
Milestones:
-Onging Operations
-Schedule Quality Indicators Report
Training:
EmLogis provides two levels of training described below.
Scheduler Training – Basic training on how to work with an existing workforce model to generate schedules. This includes updating employee information, managing availability and supporting employees utilizing the employee portal.
Modeler Training – More advanced training providing the skills and knowledge to create and modify workforce models. This class requires completion of the Scheduler Training.
